TAE HO EOM (Ph. D., Maxwell School, Syracuse University) is Assistant
Professor of Public Administration at Rutgers University-Newark. The
title of his dissertation is “Evaluation of New York State Property Tax
Policy: Administration and Behavioral Impacts of School Property Tax
Relief (STAR) Program,” for which he examined how the property tax
assessment quality is determined and how the school property tax
exemptions affect student performance, operating expenditure, and
managerial efficiency in school districts. His current research agenda
includes the impacts of property tax policy on school district housing
values and school finance equity. He is also interested in the property
tax administration reform. Dr. Eom teaches analytical methods, public
financial management, and quantitative methods Dr. Eom has professional
experience as a financial manager, financial consultant (Certified
Public Accountant), and tax consultant for both for-profit and
non-for-profit organizations.
